Jennifer- I moved from Illinois where I passed that test then moved to
Michigan only to take that test without any "prep" either. Its been 6 years
but if I remember correctly, There were questions on processes, design,
history & application. The part that I stuggled with was identifying the
Asian paintings and the different pieces of African art. There is also a
written "ESSAY" that is required but I can't remember what it was about. My
anxioty was sky-hi for this test, just because I had no clue what to expect
-but I passed and I'm sure you will too! Michigan does require an additional
"teaching reading course" as part of the "professional" status requirements.
You will have a few years to complete that requirement. Good Luck! Kathy in
    Kalamazoo
