I work with elementary students and at the beginning of the year I collect
one pencil from each student. I end up with 700+ pencils. This keeps me from
purchasing pencils every year. Plus the students don't want to give up
another pencil so they don't break them very often. I can recall only 2
pencils that were broken last year...They were two 1st graders both of them
apologized and replaced the pencils.
