We adopted this series this past year. I would be glad to answer any
questions you might have! I really enjoyed the multicultural aspect of the
artworks. I used the textbook, adapting the projects in the book or
substituting my own, quite a lot. My school puts an emphasis on reading in
    all subjects.
My school currently does not have special -ed ( MI) or ESL students . We had
both until about two years ago. I did not have a textbook series at that time
so I have no frame of reference. My first thought would be to buddy them
with another student. This past year we would read aloud and discuss lessons.
This would have been very difficult to do in past years when the county MI
classes were based at my school. We would double regular ed and special ed,
even though the TA would stay with the classes. I had a tiny irregulary
shaped room and we were very crowded. It was very hard to get students to
focus their attention on me for any discussion. ( ALL this to say that I dont
really have much in the way of suggestions for you )
