The more you have of yourself to give, the more you can give to the job- so
having a room is a big deal when you are considering the cart route.
Not having the support of administration is a constant uphill battle unless
you get your supplies upfront and just coast through your work.
Too large classes guarantees less attention to give to each kid and may make
discipline more an issue than normal.
You can do any of it if you want the job.
I teach 650 kids on a cart each week and work out of a janitors closet.
