Hi everybody!
Happy summer!
This summer I will be having two printmaking classes. Each is two hours a
day for four days. I have a session with 6-8year olds and a session with
9-11 year olds. I would like to do some monoprinting, and collograph, and
fish printing. I have a couple of questions... What is the best fish to
print? Is there some that "work" better than others, Id love any tips on
this method. I want to only have to buy one fish (for each session of
course) And, does anyone have any superduper printing techniques/projects,
Id love to hear some of your successful plans! I love printmaking, but
have never done it in this timing format, I want it to be great for them!
And I posted this question once before, but no one seemed to know, I
thought I'd try asking again. What is the substance in water-soluble
block-printing ink that in time leaks out (brown/amber in color) and turns
pretty hard. It certainly leaves the ink more dry. I assume it's a binder
or thickener of some kind... Anyone know exactly what it is? I have a
closet full of speedball inks all "gone bad" like this -I "inherited"
these) but I'd like to reconstitute. (-and im just curious what the
original substance is, no labels on the inks)
Thanks for any help
Anna
