I have worked in such a situation for 5 years. Not only have I had to share a
room with the interim art specialist who comes one or 1.5 days a week, but
now that we have lost our room,
we are sharing a janitors closet big enough for our cabinets and carts.
I have never know what it is to have a space of my own where I could set up
and "stay" set up for one year.
        The money is good.
I work 5 minutes from home.
        My kids go there.
Actually the first person was sort of a psycho and impossible to get along
    with.
The second one........is capable and thinks of things I never would. I learn
from her and she uses my ideas at other schools to try them out. We
compliment each other instead of work in competition with each other. She
happens to be a nice person, which helps.
She also paints and is working on her Masters, which I have just finished.
Her work is harder than mine because of a weekly s chedule that takes her (or
other of the 4 in the county system) to up to as many as 5 schools a week.
This is one of my job options now that I have a degree.
    Big whoop.
