The TAAS is a standardized test developed in I think
PA to test the students in Texas on supposedly basic
skills. The students can pass the writing portion in
the 8th grade and still misspell common everyday
words. They are not even graded on sentence structure
but instead on the conveyence (sp?) of thoughts.
